Route description

The trailhead reaches the bridge over the road from the Grotto Have a picnic Area, in Zion Canyon. Part one from the hike follows free airline Rim Trail, that is clearly recognized with a sign. The way is broad and well-maintained. The very first section is rather level because it follows the forest after which crosses the canyon bottom. Switchbacks permit the trail to climb the canyon wall, as much as Refrigerator Canyon. That canyon is pleasantly awesome, scenic, and walking is simple.

The way then increases another number of switchbacks, known as Walter's Wiggles. These 21 switchbacks are extremely tight and also you gain elevation quickly, however this section is brief and never oppressive.

The Wiggles place you on the top from the ridge, at Scout Lookout, where sights are perfect. Bathrooms can be found here, but no h2o. From Scout Lookout, stare upon the ridge towards the south and you will get advisable from the impossibility of the relaxation from the hike.
