Prepare for an overdose of awesome. The soaring red-colored-and-whitened coves of Zion Canyon, certainly one of southern Utah's most dramatic natural miracles, rise high within the Virgin River. Hiking downriver with the Narrows or peering beyond Angels Landing following a 1400ft ascent is definitely amazing. But, for those its awe-inspiring majesty, the park also holds more delicate special gems: weeping rocks, small grottoes, hanging gardens and meadows of mesa-top wildflowers.
