Day Hike in the Bottom and Back

This is actually the simplest method to go through the Narrows. Ride the shuttle towards the Temple of Sinawava, walk 1 mile towards the finish from the paved Riverside Walk, and start wading in the river. There's no formal destination, and also you return exactly the same way you came. Many walkers attempt to achieve Orderville Canyon, a tributary creek roughly two hrs upstream in the finish from the paved trail (2.5 miles in the shuttle stop).

Travel upstream into Orderville Canyon or beyond Large Spring is prohibited. It's 2.5 miles upstream from Orderville to Large Spring, making the roundtrip hike as much as Large Spring and to the shuttle stop 10 miles. No permit is needed with this day hike. Group size limits (12 people per group) do apply past the junction with Orderville Canyon. Don't forget to make use of the bathroom in the Temple of Sinawava before beginning your hike you will find none within the Narrows.
